nursery reveal

It is February. Ryan and I are going to have a baby girl this month.

Those sentences were mainly for me... I'm just going to keep re-reading them and maybe they will sink in. It is surreal, but it is EXCITING! We have wanted this little kiddo so bad, and she is definitely an answer to prayer(s)!

While we await her arrival, I thought we could start by debuting her nursery. A special shoutout to our unofficial sponsors:  Pinterest, Craigslist, Home Depot, your friendly, hometown Hobby Lobby, a hubby that humors his wife's crafty projects, and a fair amount of free time.

So, now, everybody on the count of 3... "Move that bus!"

Please, hold your applause. And, mom, stop crying. :)

That rocking chair has got to be the most comfortable chair on the planet, which was my only criteria when choosing it, as I'm pretty sure I will be spending a fair amount of time in it in the near future! And the little bunny is one of the first things that we bought the baby upon finding out that we were having a girl.

A BIG thanks to Mrs. V. for teaching me how to sew. I'm hoping baby girl will love the quilt that I made for her!

This is probably my favorite thing that I made. Did you know that mobiles are ~$50?! OR, you can get four sheets of felt for a buck. Plus, I think the birds are super cute. They have eyelashes. :)

I got the idea for these little wall hangings from the Blog H is for Handmade (http://hisforhandmade.blogspot.ca/2009/11/felt-chrysanthemum-pillow.html). Did I mention that felt is super cheap?

Crib via Craiglist. Fun Fact:  Most crib listings disclose the presence of "teething marks." This is weird to me. Ours has "minimal" markings. Weird.

I made the crib skirt, but I'm still bitter because the dumb thing should have been a simple project and ended up taking me an embarrassingly long time to complete. I think Baby Brain is a real thing...

I knew I didn't want to try to fit another big piece of furniture into the room because I felt that it would make the room feel too congested. Pinterest to the rescue. Rain gutters! Stinkin' brilliant and it perfectly solved my dilemma... For ~$20! (http://www.restorationbeauty.com/2013/04/rain-gutter-bookshelves.html)

I canNOT wait to read to this little girl!

My amazing hubby worked some magic with my Craigslist finds to create this awesome setup! I love how it turned out! Heirloom white and ready for cloth diapering! :)

I really LOVE how the nursery turned out.  But, it will be SO much better when Baby Girl is here!

Any day now.

I can't wait.
